Hello. My name is Josh Hicks, and I’m a writer, cartoonist and filmmaker from South Wales.

YOU VS The Poison Plot, the first instalment in my series of interactive children’s novels, is available NOW in all good book shops courtesy of Walker Books. I write and illustrate Minecraft: Out Of Order for Dark Horse Comics, and also wrote, drew, coloured and lettered the graphic novels Hotelitor: Luxury-Class Defense and Hospitality Unit and Glorious Wrestling Alliance: Ultimate Championship Edition.

Back in 2023 I directed the BAFTA Cymru-nominated animated short Spectre of the Bear, starring Bill Nighy & Craig Roberts. The film was written by Ioan Morris and produced by Nia Alavezos for CPE Productions, the small animation outfit I run out of Cardiff, via funding by Ffilm Cymru Wales, BFI Network and BBC Wales Cymru. There’s more animation stuff in the pipeline, but it’s secret. For now.
